How to buy $YOM
Where and how to buy $YOM: on a centralized exchange (MEXC, KuCoin, Kraken), on Blackhole DEX, and how to verify you got the real token.
in this article
$YOM is live on three centralized exchanges and one decentralized exchange on Avalanche. This article walks through both routes, how to add the token to your wallet afterwards, and (most importantly) how to make sure the token you bought is the real one.
One thing up front: this is not investment advice. This article explains the mechanics of buying, nothing more. Whether to buy, how much, and when is entirely your call and your risk.
where $YOM trades
As of TGE on 5 June 2026:
| Venue | Type | Pair | Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEXC | CEX | YOM/USDT | Trade on MEXC |
| KuCoin | CEX | YOM/USDT | Trade on KuCoin |
| Kraken | CEX | YOM/USD | Trade on Kraken |
| Blackhole | DEX (Avalanche) | AVAX → YOM | Swap on Blackhole |
More listings are expected over time; the current set always lives on the TGE page.
buying on a centralized exchange
The familiar route if you’ve used any exchange before:
- Create an account on MEXC, KuCoin, or Kraken and complete identity verification. All three require KYC to trade, so expect to upload an ID document. Exact requirements vary per exchange and per country, so check the exchange’s own docs.
- Deposit funds. On MEXC and KuCoin you’ll trade against USDT, so deposit USDT (or buy it on the exchange). On Kraken the pair is YOM/USD, so a fiat deposit (bank transfer, card) works directly.
- Open the YOM pair via the links above and place an order. A market order fills instantly at the current price; a limit order fills only at the price you set.
- Done. The $YOM now sits in your exchange account. If you want it in your own wallet (which you’ll need for quests and other claim flows), see withdrawing $YOM to your wallet.
Trading fees and withdrawal fees differ per exchange. We don’t list them here because they change; check the exchange’s fee page.
buying on Blackhole (DEX)
The self-custody route: you trade straight from your own wallet, without an exchange account or KYC.
You need two things first:
- A wallet connected to Avalanche C-Chain (chainId 43114). MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, and similar all work
- AVAX in that wallet, both to swap with and to pay gas. Gas on Avalanche is cheap (typically a few cents), but a swap with zero AVAX fails
Then:
- Open the Blackhole swap with the AVAX → YOM pair pre-selected
- Connect your wallet
- Enter the amount of AVAX to swap and review the quote
- Check the slippage setting: this is the maximum price movement you accept between quoting and execution. A low tolerance (0.5-1%) protects you from a bad fill; if the transaction fails during volatile moments, a slightly higher tolerance may be needed. Don’t crank it up blindly: high slippage means you accept a worse price.
- Confirm and sign the transaction in your wallet
Tokens land in your wallet within a couple of block confirmations, usually under a minute.
adding $YOM to your wallet
If your wallet doesn’t show the balance automatically:
- Make sure the wallet is on Avalanche C-Chain (chainId 43114)
- Add a custom token with contract address
0xb6314518b61b4864162c7aE7fdc36261e0A14C4b - Symbol
YOM, decimals18
Most modern wallets auto-suggest the token when you paste the contract address.
verify you bought the real token
This matters. Fake tokens with the ticker “YOM” can be deployed by anyone, on any chain, in minutes. The ticker proves nothing. Only the contract address does.
- The one and only real $YOM contract is
0xb6314518b61b4864162c7aE7fdc36261e0A14C4bon Avalanche C-Chain, verified on Snowtrace - $YOM exists only on Avalanche C-Chain. A “YOM” token on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, or anywhere else is fake: there is no bridge and no other deployment today
- On a DEX, always select the token by pasting the full contract address, never by typing the ticker into search
- After buying, look up the token in your wallet or on Snowtrace and compare the contract address character by character
If an exchange or pool isn’t listed on the TGE page, treat it with suspicion until it is.
which route should I pick?
| CEX (MEXC / KuCoin / Kraken) | DEX (Blackhole) | |
|---|---|---|
| Account + KYC | Required | Not required |
| Pay with | USDT or USD/fiat | AVAX from your wallet |
| Custody | Exchange holds tokens until you withdraw | Straight into your own wallet |
| Wallet needed | Not to buy (only to withdraw) | Yes, on Avalanche C-Chain |
| Wrong-token risk | Low (exchange lists the real asset) | On you: verify the contract address |
| Good fit for | First-time buyers, fiat on-ramp | Self-custody users already on Avalanche |
Neither route is “better”. The CEX route is simpler if you’re starting from fiat; the DEX route is faster if you already hold AVAX in a wallet. Once again: none of this is a recommendation to buy. Do your own research and never spend more than you can afford to lose.
